Please note, that updating or correcting the property characteristics of your property does not mean that your assessment will be lowered. In some cases, a field inspection may be required. - Will correcting the property characteristics lower the assessment of my property?

Correcting the property characteristics does not automatically prompt a lower assessment. It depends on the correction. In most cases, square footage does have a larger impact on assessments.
- How long does it take for the characteristics to be updated on the website?

If the property characteristics are corrected, it usually takes 3-4 weeks to reflect a change on the website.
- Will a field inspection take place?

In some cases, a field inspection must take place to verify the characteristics of a property. If a field inspection is required, the homeowner will be notified by an appointment letter.
